Television and film celebrity Kirk Cameron will headline the Vitae Foundation's annual Pro-Life Event in March.

The 26th annual fundraiser, to be held March 19 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 415 W. McCarty St., will consist of a luncheon program from noon-1:30 p.m. and a dinner program beginning at 6:30 p.m. The dinner program likely will last about two hours.

The nonprofit Vitae Foundation works to use research-based messages and media to inform women facing unplanned pregnancies about local Pregnancy Help Centers. It also aims to restore the "value of life as a core belief in American culture," according to its website.

Cameron is best known for his roles on the television series "Growing Pains" and the "Left Behind" movies and as co-host of "The Way of the Master."

Cameron's speaking tour, "Love Worth Fighting For," is designed to strengthen marriages and has made stops in more than 150 cities. Cameron talks with audiences about faith, family and nation.

Dinner registration costs $100 per person ($75 tax-deductible), and the luncheon costs $50 per person ($25 tax-deductible). Registrations may be made by calling 573-634-4316. Online reservations are available at vitaefoundation.org/events.

Deadline for registration is March 14.
