Missouri Job Center to host career fair Monday

COLUMBIA — The Missouri Job Center in Columbia will host a career fair focused on jobs with the state from 10 a.m.-1 p.m Monday in the lower level of the Bank of America, 800 E. Cherry St. in downtown Columbia.

Recent graduates are encouraged to attend, along with those hoping to launch their careers, according to a news release from the Missouri Office of Administration. Students also are welcome to the career fair to learn about internship opportunities.

Representatives from 12 Missouri departments will be available to provide information about employment opportunities.

Staff from OA’s Division of Personnel will be on site to assist with the state of Missouri’s electronic application system.

Applicants for jobs and internships should bring a resume.

State agencies to be represented the career fair include OA, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Department of Health and Senior Services, the Department of Labor and Industrial Regulations, the Department of Mental Health, the Department of Natural Resources, Capitol Police (under the Department of Public Safety), the Department of Revenue, the Department of Social Services and the Department of Transportation.
