Fulton burglary investigation yields 3 arrests

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested three people after investigating a Feb. 14 burglary near Fulton, Lt. Curtis Hall said.

Lamont E. Dyer, 29, of Jefferson City, along with Timothy S. Rice, 33, and Mindy S. Hess, 32, both of Fulton, were arrested Friday.

Deputies investigated a residential burglary in the 4000 block of County Road 202 near Fulton. The owner reported jewelry, electronics, tools and firearms missing, Hall said.

Deputies followed up on multiple leads, eventually recovering some of the property from two residences in Fulton and Kingdom City.

The investigation led to the three arrests, Hall said. All were brought to the Callaway County Jail.

Dyer was charged with first-degree burglary, felony stealing, stealing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and second-degree property damage. His bond was set at $30,000.

Rice faces charges of first-degree burglary, felony stealing, stealing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and second-degree property damage. He is being held without bond, Hall said.

Hess faces charges of first-degree burglary, felony stealing, stealing a firearm and second-degree property damage. Her bond was set at $25,000.

More charges could be added as the investigation continues, Hall said.
