Multiple injuries from Mid-Missouri wrecks

A mother and daughter sustained moderate injuries during crash Friday afternoon in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Stephanie Goff, 36, of Stover, waited in a 1996 Chevorlet 1500 to make a left turn on Missouri 52 about 500 feet west of Richland Road in Morgan County when a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Curtis Wilson, 44, of Versailles, struck her car.

Goff and her teenaged daughter sustained moderate injuries in the crash and were transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital. Wilson did not sustain any injuries.

Both cars were considered total losses.

Four people sustained minor injuries during a two-car crash Friday morning in Osage County, according to the patrol.

Cristopher Volmer, 46, of Linn, crashed his a 1995 Chevorlet truck into a a 2007 Mercury Mariner driven by Evelyn Shulte, 61, of Ownsville, around 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol said both cars were traveling east on U.S. 50, about 1.25 miles west of Missouri 100, but Volmer crashed into Shulte's car nearly head-on.

Volmer was not wearing a seatbelt, but sustained minor injuries. Shulte also sustained minor injuries. Shelly Ware, 47, of Linn, a passenger in Volmer's truck, sustained minor injuries. Orpha Schulte, 90, of Ownesville, who was riding in Shulte's Mercury Mariner, also sustained minor injuries.

Both cars sustained extensive damage in the crash. All involved were transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital.
