HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. - A Jefferson City man wanted on several charges was arrested Friday, Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism said.

Anthony James, 33, was arrested for multiple charges related to drugs, failure to appear and traffic offenses, including a felony offense, Chism said.

At 4:24 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Summit View Drive for a narcotics-related call. Deputies located and arrested James, bringing him to the Callaway County Jail. After his arrival at jail, suspected methamphetamine was found on James' person, Chism added.

James was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, and further charges may be added. He's being held on a court-set bond of $26,280, Chism said.
