Two people were charged Monday after being involved in a police pursuit in Jefferson City last week.
Deshaun Clarke, 22, of Chicago, was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle, third-degree assault and resisting arrest.
Johnny Anderson, 20, of Chicago, was charged with receiving stolen property, second-degree tampering and resisting arrest.
When police attempted to stop a vehicle that had been reported stolen Friday morning, Clarke and Anderson failed to stop, according to the Jefferson City Police Department.
The pursuit continued from West Dunklin and Washington streets westbound then went north onto Bolivar Street, where the vehicle collided with an SUV at the intersection of Bolivar and West Main streets.
After the stolen vehicle overturned and struck a parked truck, Clarke and Anderson fled the scene on foot but were taken into custody after a short chase.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
