Jefferson City man arrested for DWI after go-cart crash

Two Jefferson City residents were treated for minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash Monday evening in Cole County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 6:05 p.m. on Heritage Highway, a tenth of a mile east of U.S. 54.

James Gordon, 36, and his passenger, Melissa Gordon, 5, were riding in a homemade go-cart when it overturned, partially ejecting the two.

Troopers later arrested Gordon for DWI with a person under 17 in his vehicle and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving an injury.
