A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with a Monday morning burglary at a local pawn shop.

Ronald Like, 25, is charged with second-degree burglary and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Like allegedly admitted to breaking into River City Pawn on Missouri Boulevard to steal firearms, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

When officers were called to the scene, they found the front door had been broken out and a glass counter inside the business that contained firearms had been shattered. Several guns had been taken.

Officers were told the suspect or suspects may have gone to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Monroe Street.

When they got there, officers saw Like running in the parking lot with a paintball mask. A review of the security camera footage from River City showed the individual who broke in was wearing a paintball mask. Officers also found a bag containing several firearms found to have been taken from River City Pawn.

Like also was found to have shards of broken glass in the back of his neck.

Court records show Like was on parole for second-degree burglary at the time of this incident.
