Two Mid-Missouri teens were taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries early Saturday, after a 12:57 a.m. accident in the 9600 block of Engineers Road, near Osage City in eastern Cole County.
The Highway Patrol reported Kaitlin M. Epple, 16, of Jefferson City, lost control of her southbound 2017 Ford Mustang and it went off the left side of the road, became airborne, crossed a creek and hit an embankment.
Both Epple and her passenger, Cameron E. Brunette, 17, of Holts Summit, were wearing seatbelts, the patrol said.
