KINGDOM CITY, Mo. - An Auxvasse woman was charged Friday with felony receiving stolen property, according to Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism.
Sammy Shantelle Philbrook, 19, also was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and placed in the county jail on a court set bond of $5,000.
The charge is the result of a Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigation conducted in Kingdom City at 6:05 p.m. Thursday. At that time, a deputy stopped a vehicle being driven by Philbrook on Old Highway 40 near U.S. 54 for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation at the traffic stop, it was determined the vehicle was reported stolen Wednesday in Columbia.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.
