The Missouri Highway Patrol said Zachary T. Wine, 19, was driving east on Butterfield Stage Road, about a half-mile east of Olean, at about 12:35 a.m. when his vehicle drove off the side of the road and struck a tree.

Both he and passenger, Steven B. Wine, 31, were taken to St. Mary's Hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.

Zachary Wine had moderate injuries, and Steven Wine had minor injuries.

Jefferson City resident Atmos O. Chapman, 13, sustained a serious injury on an all-terrain vehicle Saturday morning in Greene County.

The patrol said he was driving southbound on private property on Farm Road 92, about 2 miles north of Springfield when his vehicle struck a cable.

He was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.

He was not wearing a safety device, the patrol said.
