Jefferson City woman killed in car wreck

A fatal car accident involving a Jefferson City resident occurred in Callaway County on Saturday.

Sharnett Berth-Robertson lost control of her 2004 Dodge Durango while traveling west on County Road 220, then drove off the left side of the road before overturning the vehicle.

Berth-Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Berth-Robertson was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Patrol report.

Also Saturday, two accidents occurred in Miller County, both resulting in serious injuries.

Emerson Lemka, of Latour, was driving a 2015 Street Glide Harley Davidson westbound on Business 54 and was making a left hand turn. A 2011 Electro Glide Harley Davidson, driven by Darrel Pettay, of Peculiar, was traveling westbound on Business 54 and struck the back of Lemka's motorcycle.

Pettay was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for serious injuries. Lemka sustained no injuries.

Also in Miller County, Charles Pettipiece, of Independence, sustained serious injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia after a vehicle accident at the intersection of Missouri Route 87 and Boulder Road.

He was driving northbound on Missouri Route 87 on a 2003 Ultra Classic Harley Davidson and traveled off the left side of the road and collided with the ground after failing to negotiate a right curve.
