Lake area group releases drug seizure totals

The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group has reported its enforcement results from the previous quarter, July 1 through Sept. 30.

Its seizures include methamphetamine, 127.45 grams; hydroponic marijuana, 784 grams; marijuana, 1,107.75 grams; six indoor/outdoor marijuana grows; heroin, 1.4 grams; LSD, 34 grams; ecstasy, 1 gram; synthetic drugs, 8 grams; and prescription drugs/pills, 259 doses.

Also during this time, LANEG disassembled two methamphetamine labs, served 22 search warrants, seized 16 firearms, and arrested 39 individuals on 132 drug-related charges.

LANEG is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force that serves Camden, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede and Maries counties, as well as the cities of Lebanon, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Cuba, Steelville, Leasburg and Belle. It focuses its efforts on drug enforcement by conducting both narcotics investigations in the counties and cities they serve.
