School of the Osage bus involved in crash

A School of the Osage school bus was involved in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Miller County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 3:51 p.m. on Missouri 42 at Countryside Lane.

The school bus, driven by Deborah Peterson, 61, of Brumley, had travelled over the crest of a hill when Peterson was distracted by children on the bus. This caused her to run into the rear of a vehicle driven by Robert Switzer, 23, of Richland.

Switzer, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries. Peterson had no reported injuries, but one student, Vivian Ash, 6, of Brumley, was treated for minor injuries.
