Newspaper general manager accepts new job

Todd Frantz, vice president and general manager of Central Missouri Newspapers Inc., announced Monday he will resign to take another position out of state.

"I have really enjoyed my time here in Jefferson City and Central Missouri," Frantz said. "The News Tribune, Fulton Sun and California Democrat are all terrific newspapers. I want to thank all of the employees, readers and advertisers for their support during my tenure here. I wish Central Missouri Newspapers the very best."

Frantz has held the position since March 6, after serving as general manager of the Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sentinel Record, a publication of WEHCO Media's Palmer Newspapers, division. WEHCO also owns CMNI, which publishes the Jefferson City News Tribune, Fulton Sun and California Democrat and is home to local digital marketing agency Flypaper.

"It's been a pleasure working with Todd, and I certainly wish him great success in the future. He has been a valuable member of our leadership team the last several years," said Mark Lane, president of WEHCO's newspaper division.

Frantz's last day on the job with CMNI will be Nov. 22.
