RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - Improvements to Cole R-1 Schools will start this summer, thanks to the recently passed bond issue.
Network solutions should begin this week at the high school and at the elementary building, following summer school. The board of education also has approved a bid from Timberlake Engineering regarding the HVAC replacements at both buildings, which may begin before fall.
The board will approve the 2017-18 school year salary schedule at its June meeting.
The board also has set a tentative start for junior high football in fall 2018, with junior varsity beginning in fall 2019. The decision was made after the football booster club raised the required donations to start the program.
