Russellville students celebrate graduation

Russellville High School graduated 41 from its senior class May 13.

Of those, 33 plan to attend college, technical training or enter the military.

The class of 2017's motto was: "Life is a camera; focus on what's important, capture the good times, and develop from the negative."

Graduation speakers were valedictorian Stacia Schollmeyer and salutatorian Olivia Windsor.

Windsor will attend Central Methodist University. She has been awarded an academic scholarship of $48,000, an athletic scholarship of $11,000 and an Eagle Select Scholarship of $2,000 from the university, as well as the Lohman Lions Club Scholarship of $200 and the Central Methodist University Fast Track with First Class Award.

Schollmeyer will attend Westminster College. She has been awarded the Westminster Grant, Winston Churchill Scholarship of $15,000, Missouri Bright Flight scholarship of $2,500, CTA Scholarship of $500, Veterans of Foreign Wars Award, Glory of Missouri Award-Knowledge and the Central Methodist University Fast Track with First Class Award.
