Drug charges levied against four

Four Callaway County residents have been arrested on drug charges, according to Lt. Curtis Hall of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, at6:30 p.m., Callaway County deputies stopped Alex Walker, 18, of Kingdom City for a traffic violation on County Road 211 near Kingdom City. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the license plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Fulton Police Department.

During a search, Walker was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted of a bond of $5,000 for probable cause charges of stealing and felony possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday at 12:15 a.m., Callaway County deputies stopped a vehicle occupied by Janice McDonald, 34, of Fulton in the 4000 block of County Road 259 near Millersburg for a traffic violation. During a search of the vehicle, she was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. McDonald was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she posted a bond of $6,000 for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia/prior drug offender, possession under 10 grams of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday at 4:15 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Dalton Stuart, 19, of Mokane, on Route Z near County Road 115 (west of Calwood) for traffic violations. During a search of the vehicle, Stuart was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine. He was arrested and remains in the Callaway County Jail on a bond of $5,000 for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia/prior drug offender and felony possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday at 12:19 p.m., the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Mustang drug task force executed a Callaway County search warrant for drugs in the 2900 block of County Road 498 outside of Holts Summit. During the search, deputies recovered a felony amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and two different types of controlled substances. Deputies arrested Tom Jackson, 29, of New Bloomfield, for three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody at the Callaway County Jail on a bond of $13,500.

Investigations are ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.
