Two arrested in separate Osage County drug incidents

A man from Meta was arrested Thursday on drug charges after being pulled over by the Osage County Sheriff's Department outside of Freeburg.

Sheriff's department reports show David Borgmeyer, 40, was seen throwing a bag of what was believed to be methamphetamine out the window of his vehicle.

Deputies searched the vehicle and seized 28.1 grams of suspected of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Borgmeyer was later charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Friday, he was being held in custody without bond.

This is the second time Borgmeyer has been arrested in three months by the Osage County Sheriff's Office, and deputies said he had an "extensive criminal history."

The Osage County Sheriff's Department made another drug arrest Tuesday.

Tousha Vannatter, 37, of Belle, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

As of Friday, she was being held on $15,000 bond.
