Tipton man killed in Sunday night accident

A Tipton man was killed and several Mid-Missourians injured in four separate accidents Sunday and Monday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Dillon G. Ramey, 25, Tipton, died at University Hospital, Columbia, where he had been taken by helicopter after he was hurt in a one-vehicle accident at 10:29 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers said Ramey's eastbound 1997 Chevrolet S10 ran off the left side of U.S. 50 in Moniteau County, about six-tenths of a mile east of Springer Hill Road, and hit a tree.

Ramey wasn't using a seat belt, investigators said.

Tanya J. Woodworth, 35, Lake Ozark, was treated at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, for moderate injuries she suffered in a one-vehicle accident at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The patrol said Woodworth was driving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler westbound on the Horseshoe Bend Parkway in Camden County when she overcorrected after crossing the center line, and the Jeep ran off the right side of the highway.

The accident happened at the parkway's intersection with Palisades View Drive.

Woodworth wasn't using her seatbelt, officers said.

___

Jaunita M. Fuller, 47, Jefferson City, was treated at St. Mary's Hospital for minor injuries after the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air she was riding in skidded off the left side of Nine Hills Road in Cole County and hit a fence.

Troopers said the northbound car was driven by her husband, Nathaniel E. Fuller, 40.

They said he failed to negotiate a sharp curve on Nine Hills Road, at North Ridge Road.

He wasn't hurt in the accident at 2:20 p.m. Sunday.

Neither was using a seat belt because the 1957 car didn't have them.

___

Michael H. Sallin, 28, Linn, refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries he received in a one-car accident at 4 a.m. Monday.

The patrol said Sallin was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier south on Sebo Lane, west of Liberty Road, when he tried to make a left turn but skidded off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

He was not using a seat belt, troopers said.
