A Jefferson City man has been charged with first-degree drug trafficking.
Lamour Williams III, 23, also is charged with possession of heroin.
A deputy saw Williams exit U.S. 50 West at Truman Boulevard and not use his turn signal, according to a Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement.
After he was stopped, Williams was found to be driving while suspended.
His vehicle was searched after the deputy detected an odor of marijuana, and a black zip-close bag was found. Inside were two bags of pills containing ecstasy and two small bags of heroin.
Williams told the deputy he bought the ecstasy in Illinois. He said he had forgotten the bags were in the car and uses the drug to treat a heart condition.
