JCPD arrests suspect wanted for attempted armed robbery in Osage Beach

Members of Jefferson City Police Department's Community Action Team arrested an armed robbery suspect after receiving a request for assistance Wednesday regarding an attempted armed robbery at a McDonald's in the Osage Beach area.

A suspect went through a drive-thru at a local McDonalds in Osage Beach Police Department's jurisdiction, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the restaurant's clerk Wednesday, according to a JCPD news release.

The clerk closed the drive-thru window and fled back into the restaurant to call 911. The clerk gave a description of the suspect's vehicle, and authorities were able to determine and track down the vehicle's owner.

The vehicle had been loaned to another person known to reside in Jefferson City, which led Osage Beach police to coordinate with JCPD on investigating possible leads.

JCPD's Community Action Team officers identified the armed robbery suspect as Adam McNally, 33, of Jefferson City, and found his vehicle and stopped him a short time later. Officers confirmed the suspect's identity and arrested him without incident.

McNally was taken into custody and held for Osage Beach PD.
