A Berkeley resident was transported by ambulance Thursday night to University Hospital in Columbia after a three-vehicle crash.
David Sanning was traveling westbound on U.S. 54, south of I-70, in Callaway County in a 2018 Kia Soul when his vehicle struck the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by Kristin Millerd, of Swansea, Illinois, at a stoplight. Millerd's vehicle was headed westbound on U.S. 54 and was stopped at the stoplight.
Millerd's vehicle then struck the rear of a 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by Shea Welch, of Chicago, who was also stopped at the stoplight.
Millerd and Claire Coleman, of Swansea, and a passenger in Millerd's vehicle, had minor injuries, according to reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol. Welch was uninjured from the crash, and Sanning was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
All three drivers and Coleman were wearing seatbelts, according to Patrol reports.
Also on Thursday, a Brumley resident was taken to Lake Regional Hospital after being struck by a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign.
Trudy Ash was traveling southbound on Route C in a 2008 Jeep Liberty shortly after midnight when a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound failed to stop at a stop sign at Rock Quarry Road and struck the jeep.
The driver of the pickup is unknown, according to Patrol reports.
Ash was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and the report states Ash was wearing a seatbelt.
