Jefferson City man arrested near California

A Jefferson City man, wanted in connection with two stalking cases from July, was taken into custody this week by the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department.

John Harlow, 31, was charged with two seperate first-degree stalking accounts, one from July 25 and the other from July 30.

The Moniteau County Sheriff's Office received information Wedneday from the Jefferson City Police Department on a subject with an outstanding Cole County felony warrant. The information said Harlow was possibly staying at a residence in Moniteau County and had made threats against law enforcement. Deputies went to the residence located on Missouri 87, where they took Harlow into custody.

Harlow was charged with intimidation and stalking and is being held on a $25,000 cash only bond.

Moniteau deputies also responded to a Wednesday disturbance on Higgins Road just outside of Latham. While investigating the disturbance, deputies located methamphetamine on the property and arrested Walter A. Sandidge, 48, of Fortuna.

Sandige was taken to the Moniteau County Jail and charged with domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He is being held on $25,000 bond.
