HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. - A fire destroyed a detached garage and a car stored inside about 10 p.m. Monday, according to Scott Pasley, public information officer for the Holts Summit Fire Department.
A house on the property, located on the 12000 block of County Road 4027, escaped damage, he said.
"When the first (responders) arrived, the building was fully involved," Pasley said. "We were able to knock it down and save the house."
Members of South Callaway Fire Protection District also assisted. There were 11 apparatus and about 20 firefighters at the scene.
"We're not sure what the cause was," Pasley added.
