City candidate campaign reports

These are the reported numbers for the Jefferson City Council candidates' election campaign committees. All information comes from the Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC).

Updates on two local candidates in municipal judge and prosecutor races are also included.

First Ward - Two-year term

"Friends of Jim Branch": Richard Lueckenhoff is treasurer. In its 40-days-before-election report, the committee noted limited activity and did not report any financial information. The following numbers were pulled from the eight-days-before-election report.

Total receipts for this election: $2,925

Amount spent so far (total expenditures for this election): $309.97

Amount of money on hand: $3,746.03

Itemized contributors were Richard Peerson, co-owner and agent of the Jefferson City insurance and financial Wallstreet Group; Rudolph Veit, member attorney of the Carson & Coil law firm; Richard Jennett, gastroenterologist with Jefferson City Medical Group; retiree James Winemiller; and Vogel Insurance Group. These contributors gave $100 each.

"Friends for David Kemna": Robert McCurren III is treasurer.

Total receipts for this election: $3,665.25. As of the Feb. 23, 40-days-before-election report, the committee had raised $965.25.

Amount spent so far (total expenditures for this election): $2,683.16. As of the 40-days-before-election report, $478.60.

Amount of money on hand: $1,221.39. As of the 40-days-before-election report, $915.25.

Central Bank Vice Chairman Robert Robuck gave $150. Robert McCurren of Fechtel Beverage gave $250. As of the 40-days-before-election report, Jefferson Bank retiree Carole Kemna donated $300, and Central Trust Bank PAC gave $150.

Second Ward - Two-year term (unopposed)

Laura Ward - no campaign committee found through MEC.

Third Ward - Two-year term (unopposed)

"Citizens for Ken Hussey": Susan Cook-Williams is treasurer. For both the 40-days-before and eight-days-before-election reports, the committee reported limited financial activity and no other financial information.

Fourth Ward - Two-year term (unopposed)

"Committee to Elect Carlos Graham": Patrick Mills is treasurer. The only report available online through MEC for 2017 is a quarterly report from January. That report shows the committee then had $382.91 on hand, but had not received nor spent any money for the upcoming election in April.

Fourth Ward - One-year term

Candidate Leonard Steinman II did not have any current campaign committee listed through MEC.

"Friends for Ron Fitzwater": Marc Ellinger is treasurer.

Total receipts for this election: $9,722.97. As of the Feb. 21, 40-days-before-election report, $800.

Amount spent so far (total expenditures for this election): $2,771.88. As of the 40-days-before-election report, $248.04.

Amount of money on hand: $6,542.21. As of the 40-days-before-election report, $1,056.05.

Marc Ellinger, member attorney with Blitz, Bardgett & Deutsch LC firm, gave $550. Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin, also owner of Carries' Hallmark Shop, gave $400.

Donors who gave $250: State Sen. Mike Kehoe (R-Jefferson City); Veit, of Carson & Coil; Michael Stephens, pharmacist and owner of Stephens Pharmacy; Carey Riley, owner of Riley Automotive; retirees Gary Schell and Jim Bracewell; Michael Bernskoetter, owner of Art's Pest Control; Thomas Vaughn and Harvey Tettlebaum, attorneys with Husch Blackwell; Bill Gamble, lobbyist with Gamble & Schlemeier Governmental Consultants; Sam Licklider, chief lobbyist of the Missouri Association of Realtors; George Oestreich, health care consultant with GLO & Associates; and Samantha Green of the Cole County Juvenile Center.

Donors who gave $200: Larry Kolb, owner and broker of Kolb Properties; and Rex Catton, of Irving, Texas and with pharmaceutical and health care supply distributor McKesson. Central Bank PAC gave $150.

Donors who gave $100: Jeff Ahlers, Central Dairy assistant plant manager and treasurer of the Cole County Republican Committee. Peerson of Wallsteet Insurance gave $50. Bob McDonough of State Farm Insurance had given $150 as of the 40 days before report.

"Supporters of Charles R. Jackson for 4th Ward City Council": Glen Costales is treasurer. On the eight-days-before-election report, the committee reported limited financial activity and no other financial information.

Total receipts for this election: As of the Feb. 21, 40-days-before-election report, $268.20, all of which came from Jackson himself.

Amount spent so far (total expenditures for this election): As of the 40-days-before-election report, none.

Amount of money on hand: As of the 40-days-before-election report, $25.

Fifth Ward - Two-year term (unopposed)

Candidate Mark Schreiber did not have a committee listed through MEC.

Municipal judge, city of Jefferson (unopposed)

"Cotton Walker for Judge": Jake Vogel is treasurer. The committee reported limited financial activity and no other financial information for the eight-days-before-election report.

Jefferson City prosecutor (unopposed)

Candidate Brian Stumpe did not have a committee listed through MEC. Stumpe is the incumbent city prosecutor.
