By a vote of 88-18, with six abstentions, Lincoln University faculty members Thursday morning voted for a proposed "no confidence" resolution in Said Sewell's job performance.

Sewell is LU's provost and vice president for Academic Affairs.

The Faculty Senate's resolution said they have lost confidence in Sewell, because he has "repeatedly violated" the principles of shared governance, and they see no potential improvement.

The resolution serves as a recommendation to LU President Kevin Rome, who is not required to act on it.
