A Jefferson City boy was injured Wednesday evening when he ran into the street in front of a moving vehicle.
Police report the 8-year-old pedestrian collided with the front passenger side of a car driven by Meghan E. Basinger, 28, Jefferson City. The accident occurred at 5:08 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Elm Street.
The boy was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Basinger, who was wearing her seat belt, was uninjured.
