Runge doubles down with owl programs

Runge Nature Center will host "Missouri Owls," an event with live owls, at 6 p.m. Friday.

The event will feature live owls from the Missouri University Raptor Rehabilitation program. It will answer questions about how the animals see, hear, hunt and eat.

It will feature activities such as crafts and discovery tables and owl pellet dissection.

The event is free and open to all ages. No reservations are required.

That event is not to be confused with a Thursday presentation about great horned owls at 6:30 p.m. at the Runge Center.

Thursday's presentation is being done by Mark Glenshaw, an award-winning naturalist, and is hosted by the River Bluffs Audubon Society.

It also is free and open to the public.
