St. Elizabeth students learn positivity with themed events during Anti-Bullying Week

Students participated in themed days, attended assemblies and spread positivity through social media during St. Elizabeth R-4 School District's Anti-Bully Week Nov. 14-18.

St. Elizabeth K-12 Counselor Britni Briggs organized a variety of activities each day for students to help inform them of anti-bullying efforts, teach them about being positive and respecting others.

All week, the elementary students also could earn a star for their class poster by being caught showing kindness for others through the "Sneetches" stars class contest.  Junior high and high school students also could play buddy hide and seek all week where in passing after lunch students must find their match to cash in for prizes.

On Nov. 14, "Stand Up and Stand out in Neon" day, students dressed in their brightest clothing and allowed elementary students to meet for counseling.

"Be Buddies NOT Bullies" day was held Nov. 15, where students could dress up like a buddy. Junior high and high school students also attended video/Deputy Wheeler assemblies.

On Nov. 16, "Hat on, I am Strong" day, students were encouraged to wear caps to remember to stand against bullies. Thursday was "Tacky Tourist" day where students dressed as tourists to gain a better view of a world without bullies.

On Nov. 18, students wore black and gold to show "Today you are you and we are hornets." Junior high and high school students also were encouraged to blast social media with positivity while enjoying snacks, and elementary students enjoyed a movie in the gymnasium.
