Helias High School will be closed Monday through July 10 for construction; part of that time is also the annual "dead week" that shuts down sports and activities.
During that period, construction crews will need to shut off electricity and water to stay on schedule, said the Rev. Stephen Jones, president of Helias.
By the time Jefferson City parochial school is open, the St. John Paul II Student Success Center will be completed. The center will house counseling, career guidance, specialized academic instruction, a technology-centered study hall, a supervised lounge area for after-school studying and a teacher work and collaboration space. Bathrooms are also renovated and walkways and corridors have been improved, according to a news release.
