Silver Alert issued for woman last seen in California

The Cooper County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 601 E. Howard St. in California on Tuesday.

The endangered SILVER advisory missing adult is Laverla R. Kistler, a white female, age 77, height 5'6", 155 pounds, white hair and green eyes. Unique characteristics include a scar on her nose.

Kistler's diagnosed medical conditions include memory loss.

Her silver 2004 Kia sedan bearing the Missouri license plate DD1B0Z was last seen at 601 E. Howard St. in California.

Kistler is known to frequent California. She has also been experiencing symptoms of dementia. Kistler is traveling with a brown terrier/dachshund mix dog with no collar.

Kistler's son last spoke to her on June 14 and believed that she was at home at Long Drive in Cooper County at that time but could not verify that.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Cooper County Sheriff's Office at 660-882-2771.
