Pipeline work planned on 179

Missouri 179 near Prairie Home in Moniteau County will be closed for four days beginning Friday evening so Magellan Pipeline can make system repairs.

The work will close 179 between Harris Road and Route P through Tuesday evening.

The Splice Creek bridge, which has been closed for replacement since June 13, will re-open to local traffic only on Friday while the pipeline repairs are made. 179, including the new Splice Creek bridge, is expected to be open to through traffic by Tuesday evening.

The detour routes, which will remain in place until Tuesday evening are:

179 South: North on 179, west on I-70, south on Missouri 87, north on 179.

179 North: South on 179, north on 87, east on I-70 and south on 179.
