A fire early Friday morning caused primarily smoke damage to a Jefferson City business.
According to fire department reports, the fire at Doug's Auto Detailing, 2421 Industrial Drive, was called in around just before 5:15 a.m.
A worker at a nearby business smelled smoke and went over to see a fire in the business and called 911.
When fire crews got on the scene they found smoke coming from multiple garage doors and could see the fire. They forced entry into the business and extinguished the fire in a few minutes. According to a fire department release, firefighters remained on scene for one hour.
No other nearby businesses were damaged and there were no injuries reported.
According to the release, the fire was determined to be an accident.
