HPC clears permits for demolition

The Jefferson City Historic Preservation Commission released several demolition permits at its regular meeting Tuesday.

They include:

400 W. Dunklin St., built prior to 1960 and which has been used as commercial storage. The owner intends to use the site for parking.

434 Boonville Road, built about 1920 and left vacant for many years. The owner intends to build a new home there.

620 Locust St., built about 1900, has been vacant.

2500 Tanner Bridge Road, built about 1945, has been abandoned.

608 Ohio St., built about 1920, was lost to fire.

In other business, the commission noted that former Chairman Ed Meyer died, and that it will set a special meeting date in August to resume review of its proposed demolition ordinance.
