One injured in car, scooter collision

One person was treated for injuries after a crash between a motor scooter and a car Friday afternoon in Jefferson City.

Police reports show the crash occurred at 12:12 p.m. at the intersection of Michigan Street and Missouri Boulevard.

The investigation revealed the car, driven by Seth Farichild, 21, of Holts Summit, was attempting to make a left turn from northbound Michigan Street to westbound Missouri Boulevard.

The traffic in the right eastbound lane had stopped, and as Fairchild started his turn, the scooter, driven by Paige Dow, 21, of Jefferson City, was going east in the left lane of Missouri Boulevard.

Fairchild crossed in front of Dow, and Dow collided with the front driver-side fender of Fairchild's vehicle and was ejected from the scooter.

Dow was wearing an approved helmet at the time of the crash.

Fairchild was wearing a seat belt and had no reported injuries.
