Welcome Inn Again, a family-style restaurant known for its fried chicken, fish and ham, closed permanently last Thursday.
The restaurant, located at 130 E. Dunklin St. in Jefferson City's Old Munichburg area, was opened in May 2013 by owner Steve Raithel and partners John and Diane Lock.
"We appreciate everyone's patronage and most of all the friendships we have developed. We will miss everyone," the owners said in a June 26 post to the business' Facebook page announcing the decision to close.
Raithel also owns Steve's Family Style Restaurant, which has been located in Lohman since 2001. Customers may still redeem Welcome Inn gift certificates at Steve's restaurant, according to another post to the Welcome Inn Again Facebook page June 30.
The owners could not be reached to give further details about any future plans.
