Ward winners announced in Christmas decorating contest

The following list announces the first- and second-place Christmas Home Decorating Contest winners in each Jefferson City ward.

During a second round of judging this weekend, one citywide winner will be chosen to represent each of the five categories. The categories are: Christmas Classics, Charlie Brown, Norman Rockwell, O Holy Night and the Clark Griswold Award.

The contest is sponsored by the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department, the Jefferson City News Tribune, and Cottonstone Art Gallery and Frame Shop.

Ward 1

Charlie Brown: first place, Dave and Joan Rothenay; second place, Charyl Clarkston.

Norman Rockwell: first place, Kevin and Jackie Kampeter.

O Holy Night: first place, Karen Elliott; second place, The Kremer Family.

Ward 2

Norman Rockwell: first place, Jack and Meryl Atterberry.

O Holy Night: first place, Nelson Otto; second place, Renee Veltrop.

Clark Griswold: first place, Roy A. Johnson.

Ward 3

Charlie Brown: first place, Jane Ihler.

Norman Rockwell: first place, David and Kathleen Eswine; second place, Jayme Prenger and Chris Rodriguez.

Christmas Classics: first place, Ken and Robin Smith.
