ROLLA, Mo. (AP) -- A building at Missouri S&T was evacuated after a fire broke out on the building's roof.

Missouri S&T spokeswoman Mary Helen Stoltz says an air conditioning unit on the roof of Emerson Hall caught fire at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday. She says the fire was contained less than an hour later.

She says it's unclear how many people were evacuated from the building, which houses classrooms and offices. Stoltz said she had not received any reports of injuries.
