A Jefferson City man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges after an endangered person advisory was issued.
Jimmie Johnson, 47, was charged for third-degree domestic assault and driving while suspended, both misdemeanors.
He was ordered to serve five days in the Cole County Jail and pay a $100 fine.
The victim, Kelly Clark, 30, was speaking to a family member by phone July 26 when the family member overheard an assault against Clark take place. Clark was in the presence of Johnson, with whom she was in a relationship.
Attempts were made to track down Johnson, and Clark's vehicle was located in the 200 block of East Ashley Street. Around 5:30 p.m. July 26, police received a phone call from Clark's mother with information ab Clark and Johnson were at a residence on Jefferson Street.
Officers responded to the residence, where they located Clark and Johnson. Johnson was immediately taken into custody.
