Eldon residents are invited to join Lake Regional Clinic on Aug. 26 as it celebrates the expansion of an additional 20,000 square feet to its current facility.
From 10-1 p.m. Aug. 26, attendees will receive a tour of the new facility. In addition, there will be free on-site health screenings, hot dog lunch, a car seat check, activities for children and a T-shirt for the first 200 guests.
The new entrance will be at 416 S. Maple St, allowing the primary care clinics to now include family medicine, pediatrics specialty care, rehabilitation services and non-emergency services in the evenings and on the weekends all under the same roof.
"We are excited about our expansion of health care services in Eldon and look forward to celebrating with the Eldon community," said Kevin McRoberts, senior vice president of operations at Lake Regional Health System. "This expansion is an opportunity for us to make health care more convenient and accessible to many of our current patients, as well as to connect with new patients in the Eldon area who can benefit from Lake Regional's services."
Currently there are specialists from orthopedics, sleep medicine and women's health already caring for patients in Eldon. Not long after the clinic opens, Lake Regional will open a new pharmacy on Sept. 1 in the same building. The pharmacy will offer online refills, and free prescription delivery to parts of Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.
