CRMC food drive collects 1,300 pounds

Capital Region Medical Center's recent "CRMC Cans Hunger" food drive brought in more than 1,300 pounds of food for the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City.

"I am impressed by the success of the food drive, but I am not surprised," said CRMC President Gaspare Calvaruso. "We have a tremendous group of employees here, and they embrace an attitude of service. It gives me great pride to see the compassionate and caring service they provide not only to our patients but to our entire community."

The food drive extended to the Capital Region Physician Clinics located in outlying communities, who donated the proceeds from their food drives to local pantries.
