Visit and purchase new and popular book titles during the Local Authors Showcase from 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday at the Missouri River Regional Library in Jefferson City.

More than 15 authors will share and sell their works, including Missouri River Regional Library staff member Kimberly Bolton, who recently released her first poetry book, "Folk." She was honored as the Poet of the Week by "Poetry Super Highway" this year and also leads the bi-annual Poetry Reading at the library, a news release said.

"We have a very talented staff, and it is always fun to see a staff member create something from that talent," MRRL Director Claudia Cook said in the news release. "We love Kim's commitment to the art of poetry and appreciate her sharing that love with the MRRL community."

Walter Bargen and Michael Brownstein will also share their published poetry works, with authors delivering original pieces in multiple genres participating in the upcoming showcase. Those authors include Randy Bisig (science fiction), Carolyn Paul Branch (memoir), Jamin Chavez (nonfiction), Stacey Cowan (children's), Alan Easley (memoir), Neal Fandek (fiction), Aaron Fox (children's), Sandra Heckman (devotional), Rachelle Layne (children's), James Oermann (nonfiction), Arnold Parks (nonfiction), Susan Schrader (devotional), Kevin Shive (nonfiction), Steve Wiegenstein (fiction) and Carrie Yonley (photography).
