Butterfly Treasure Hospice Resale Shop is up and running at its new location in Jefferson City's Old Munichburg area.

The resale shop, which opened two years ago at 1431 Southwest Blvd., officially reopened for business April 30 at 721 Jefferson St.

"The space is much larger than the last," said Jane Moore, CEO of the Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association. "It's a great location for our resale shop and gives us a wonderful opportunity to add other types of items."

The statewide nonprofit association, based in Jefferson City, works through research and education to support and strengthen care for terminally ill patients and their families. The resale shop - which sells secondhand items like women's, men's and children's clothing; housewares and small furniture - opened in 2016 to help support the association's work.

Butterfly Treasure Hospice Resale Shop will celebrate a grand opening from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., this Thursday at the new location. The event will include refreshments and sales.

The shop is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
