Frenchie's Antique Mall will close sometime in July, manager Chris Bogg said.
Located in House of Bargains at 5505 Business 50 West in Cole County, the store sells a variety of antiques and furnishings. Bogg said Frenchie's reached a point where it didn't make sense economically to keep it open. Vendors in the antique mall were notified about a month ago, Bogg said.
Bogg's father, Carey Bogg, was a history buff and opened the antique mall in 2000. Carey Bogg died in January 2017.
Founded in 1959, House of Bargains also houses Jefferson Armory: Gun and Ammo Sales, H.O.B. Sporting Goods, a wedding and party supply rental company, an office furniture store, H.O.B. U-Haul Rental and a small cafe - all of which will remain open.
Chris Bogg said the company's diverse portfolio gives it a backbone that will support House of Bargains well into the future.
"We have a fairly large umbrella," he said.
