Orscheln Farm & Home soon will move its Jefferson City store at 3104 S. Ten Mile Drive to a new location at 2304 Missouri Blvd.

In a news release Aug. 1, Orscheln said it will move "soon" to the new space. The 54,000-square-foot home to Jefferson City's former Kmart store will be three times the size of the existing Orscheln location in Jefferson City.

At the new location, Orscheln plans to expand its clothing and pet sections and add a new outdoor section featuring fishing gear, firearms and outdoor apparel.

"The expanded sales floor will allow us to provide a more comfortable shopping experience for our customers," Orscheln District Manager Mark Cullifer said in the news release.

Orscheln Marketing Manager Becky Honey declined to give an exact date for when the new store will open but said it should debut later this month.

"As soon as they get everything moved, they will open," Honey said.

Orscheln will hire 30 additional employees to work at the new location.
