A new Mexican restaurant opened in Wardsville last week.
Checo's Mexican Restaurant, at 6332 Route B in Wardsville, is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Elda Mascorro said her husband, Sergio, owns the restaurant and she manages it.
One of the restaurant's signature dishes is Pollos Checos - chicken breast with rice and beans. Tacos Al Pastor - pork tacos with a special chili sauce - is another signature dish.
Dessert offerings include chocolate lava cake.
