Busch's Florist is making minor renovations to update its shop at 620 Madison St. in Jefferson City.

Busch's Florist sells bouquets, flowers and other floral arrangements for special occasions.

General Manager Michelle Kliethermes said the store is repairing some windows in its greenhouse, adding lighting to the front of the store and adding a protective covering over the original floor.

Jefferson City businessman Reid Millard purchased Busch's Florist this August. Previous owners Nick and Heather McKague renovated the display room and consultation area in preparation for the business' 125-year anniversary in 2016. They also added a third branch to the floral shop's reach in 2015, opening a Linn store in addition to Busch's Jefferson City and Columbia presences.

Kliethermes said the touches are being done to better serve Busch's customers and use its greenhouse better.

"We're just trying to update it to keep it in good working order," Kliethermes said.
