BizBeat: UPS Store packs up for move

Jefferson City's UPS store will move from its current location at 1709 Missouri Blvd. to a new one at 2208 Missouri Blvd. this week.

The new location sits next to T-Mobile and Panera Bread, across the street from the now closed Burger King location at 2207 Missouri Blvd.

The company's website does not specify the date the new store will open but notes the store will be opening "the week of July 24."

Building permits filed with Jefferson City's Building Regulations Division show $22,000 in renovations are being made to an existing shopping complex at the location.

A UPS Store spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment. The company says on its website the old location will remain open until the new location opens.
