DIRECTV subscribers again have access to KMIZ programming.

The Columbia-based ABC 17 announced on Sunday the two parties struck a contract agreement for DIRECTV to again carry the signal.

"Thank you for your patience and support as we worked through the negotiation," the local television station wrote on its website.

The signal was dropped on Jan. 12 after the two were not able to come to an agreement.

In the 11/2 week since, KMIZ has reported that negotiations continued but had remained stalled.

The station also reported that the core dispute between DIRECTV and KMIZ was the price DIRECTV was willing to pay the station for the right to re-sell the station's signal.

"KMIZ's parent company, News-Press & Gazette (NPG), has successfully negotiated and renewed carriage agreements with 10 separate cable and satellite companies over the last three months with no service disruption," the station said.
